I currently use Live 8 Ableton Suite on my Laptop (Windows 7/ Hewlett Packard). I still have the option of downloading the suite to a desktop as well. I was thinking of getting an Apple Mac desktop so would I be able to switch between both (Windows Laptop and Apple mac) when making my music or would I have to get another PC (Non Apple Mac) in. With high-end Mac computers, the Intel Xeon is widely regarded as one the most powerful processors in the market, and rightly so. Slightly older dual-core Pentium chips, from the same lineage as the i-series, can also perform well but the i-series are a newer and more powerful technology. If you've been a Windows user before and you don't have any concrete reason to move to Mac (or vice versa), then don't stress over picking the right platform and OS for Ableton – get what you're already comfortable with so you can get back to doing what you like most. Ableton Live Suite 10.1 for Windows and Mac. Create, produce and perform. Create ideas, make changes without stopping, and capture everything as you work. Windows 10 is absolutely fine for audio production. The only main issue is no Logic Pro X So I mostly use OSX for audio. However Ableton Live 10 is working the same on both systems in terms of stability and performance.
Hi Community,I actually working on a Windows-PC with Ableton Live Suite, but Live just stucks any 2-3 Minutes, when i want to apply any effects or options from Live.
It may high-probably be, that i´ve got no high-performance-hardware on my Windows-PC. I´m using 4 GB RAM and a Intel i3-4005U Processor on my Notebook.
But unrelated and unminded from the fact, that i got not really good high-end-performance ressources, i´m thinking about to may purchase a Apple Macintosh-Computer, for the reputation to be a better audio-processing environment. And for this after all thoughts and plans how i want go further i only have the question, which OS and what kind of Hardware do you use as CPU? and RAM and how many Cores or Capacity does it has, so that you can say there are no problems with the Processing of Ableton Live on your Computer?
